Joanne A. Nicely, age 81, of Alexandria, Virginia, died Sunday, March 30, 2014.
Born March 6, 1933, at Durbin, she was a daughter of the late Warden O. Rose and Ina Greathouse Rose Shelkey.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Lloyd Nicely; a son, Ed Nicely, and wife, Sally, of Alexandria, Virginia; a daughter, Diana Klopp, and husband, Jeff, of Middletown, Virginia; and beloved grandchildren, Tanner, Victoria, Ryan, Kevin and Brandon.
Funeral service is April 2, 1:30 p.m. at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home in Arbovale with Pastor David Rittenhouse officiating. Interment will be in the Arbovale Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 1 to 1:30 p.m.
