She will be greatly missed by her long-time companion, Monty Smith, and their beloved dog, Abby; two sons, DeWayne “Butch” Hise, and wife, Ann, and Ernie Hise, and wife, Jennifer, all of Monterey, Virginia; two grandchildren, Troy Hise, and fiancée, Montana Moats, of Hightown, Virginia, and Katelyn Hise, and friend, Hunter Grimm, of Monterey, Virginia; two step-grandchildren, Crystal Phillips, of Staunton, Virginia, and Elliott Boyd, and wife, Cindy, of Monterey, Virginia; four step-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Kenton Halterman, and wife, Georgette, of Martinsburg, Ernie Halterman, and wife, Cindy, of Richmond, Virginia, and Willard Halterman, of Green Bank; a sister, Colleen Halterman Warner, of Petersburg; as well as many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held January 25 at Church of God of Prophecy with Pastor Ray Turner officiating.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Hise Family Cemetery, c/o Mary Crisco, 2931 Dug Bank Road, Monterey, VA 24465.
