Jimmy Preston Cloonan, 69, of Buckeye, died Thursday, February 22, 2024, at CAMC Greenbrier Valley Medical Center in Fairlea.

Born February 28, 1954, at Charleston, he was a son of the late Mitchell Preston and Betty Ruth Nunley Cloonan.

Jimmy was a retired building maintenance mechanic at Droop Mountain State Park.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Danny Eugene, Goldie Mae and Patty Ruth.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia M. Cloonan; sisters, Virginia Cloonan Wagner (David) and Eva Cloonan Moore (Rick); nieces, Jennifer Moore and Laura Wagner Dott (Rob); nephew, Justin Mitchell Wagner (Jeanette); sisters-in law, Sue Helton, Sally Parks (Rusty) and Carol Beck (Pat); brothers-in law, Tom Moore (LuAnne) and Harry Kelley; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside service was held Monday, February 26, 2024, at Mountain View Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Swago United Methodist Church or the Campbelltown Church.
