Jerry Dunn

Jerry Dunn, age 68, of Kenova, passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2016, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington.

Born September 18, 1948, he was a son of the late Normal and Mabel Dunn.

Jerry attended Shepherd University. While at Shepherd, he was a volunteer on the local fire department. He worked in the grocery business, and was known for his sense of humor.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Dottie Jean Dunn Miles.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Carol Ann Varner Dunn; children, Kay Browning, and husband, Paul, of Proctorville, Ohio, and Marie Dunn, of Kenova; two grandchildren, Emily Browning and Jacob Browning; brothers, Billy Dunn, and wife, Cindy, of Harpers Ferry, and Lee Dunn, and wife, Peggy, of Clifton Forge, Virginia; a brother-in-law, Otis Miles, of Maxwelton; and many nieces and nephews.

Jerry will be greatly missed by his friends and family.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 10, 11 a.m. at the Baptist Temple Church in Huntington. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jerry’s name may be made to a charity of your choice.
