Jerry Cutlip

Jerry Wayne Cutlip, age 58, of Stony Bottom, died Friday, February 14, 2020, at his home.

Born June 14, 1961, at Marlinton, he was a son of the late Betty Jean Meeks Cutlip.

Jerry was a laborer, having worked at Cass Scenic Railroad State Park, VEPCO Dam, Snowshoe Mountain Resort and William Dilley Surveying.

He had never married.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Edith Meeks, who raised him since he was three years old; his sister, Alice McCray; a nephew, David McCray; an uncle, Gene Kesler; and a cousin, William Kesler.

He is survived by his sister, Mary Jane, and her husband, Robert Brown, Jr.; a niece, Phyllis McCray; nephew, Jamie McCray, and wife, Candance; great-niece, Cloie Jean Cassell; great-nephew, James David McCray; an aunt, Alice Kesler, and her son, Freddy Kesler; cousins, Larissa and Levi Kesler; and special mention goes to Judy “Mom” and Dwight “Pops” Perry, of Stony Bottom.

His request for cremation will be honored.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, April 25, 2 p.m. at the home of Homer Hunter in Stony Bottom.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to VanReenen Funeral Home, 207 9th Street, Marlinton, WV 24954.
