Jedediah Vickers

Jedediah Leslie Vickers, age 36, of Durbin, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2017, at Davis Memorial Hospital in Elkins.

Born September 15, 1980, at Elkins, he was a son of Susie Waddell Vickers, of Durbin, and the late David Leslie Vickers.

Jedediah was a timber cutter for Allen Lowry. He loved to bear hunt.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandfather, Orville Waddell; grandmother, Helen Bennett; and a nephew, Alex Cassell.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daughter, Hannah Maria Vickers, of Petersburg; a sister, Cinda Renee Vickers, of Durbin; a brother, David Kent Vickers, of Elkins; grandmother, Violet Waddell, of Durbin; two nephews, Micheal White and Zachary Cassell, both of Durbin; and step-grandfather, Phares Bennett, of Durbin.

Funeral service will be Friday, January 20, 1 p.m. at Big Run Presbyterian Church in Big Run with Rev. Carl Greathouse officiating. Interment will be in the Laurel Hill Cemetery in Whitmer. Family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lantz Funeral Home in care of funeral arrangements.
