Jamie Carlton “Pancake” McNeill, 45, of Buckeye, passed away Thursday, November 16, 2023.

Born November 29, 1977, in Ronceverte, he was a son of the late Michael “Blix” and Marvel Hodges McNeill.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jeffrey Hunt.

Jamie attended Trinity Baptist Church in Buckeye. He followed in his father’s footsteps and farmed the McNeill family farm. He was an active supporter of 4-H, especially the Livestock Show and Sales. Jamie was active in his community helping with the Hillbilly Hollow Motor Sports Mud Races, serving on the Pioneer Days Committee and volunteering as a youth soccer and football coach in both Pocahontas and Greenbrier counties. In his spare time, Jamie loved being outdoors and was an avid hunter and friend to many.

He is survived by his spouse, Heather Rhea McNeill; son, Chase McNeill; sister, Rhonda Withers and husband, Brett; nephews, Adam and Casey Withers, all of Marlinton; special aunt, Cheryl McNeill McCallister, of Washington; and several extended family members and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, November 25, 2023, at 2 p.m. at Trinity Baptist Church in Buckeye with John Paul Burks officiating.

The family will receive friends at the church from 1 p.m. until the time of service.
