James Elwood Pennybacker, age 74, of Marlinton, died Tuesday, August 25, 2015, at his daughter’s residence in Beaver.
Born January 12, 1941, near Marlinton, he was a son of the late Lloyd and Lucille White Pennybacker.
James was a retired construction supervisor, a Mason and a member of the New Hope Lutheran Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Edwin Pennybacker; and two sisters, Nancy Rose and Alma Sprouse.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Pennybacker; a daughter, Debbie Treadway, and husband, Carlos, of Beaver; a granddaughter, Sarah Cooper; great-granddaughters, Nevaeh Cooper, Kensley Cooper and Bralynn Cooper; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was August 29 at VanReenen Funeral Home with Rev. Jess Felici officiating.
Interment was in White Cemetery in Minnehaha Springs.
