James Oscar

James Edward Oscar, age 58, of Hillsboro, died Saturday, May 24, 2014, at Greenbrier Manor in Lewisburg.

Born December 6, 1955, at Marlinton, he was a son of Nancy Lane Oscar, and the late William James Oscar.

James was a delivery driver.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by a son, Nicholas James Oscar, of Chardon, Ohio; sisters, Peggy Jane Albert, and husband, William, of Southington, Ohio, Rosemary Taylor, and husband, Tom, of Warren, Ohio, and Lucille Madison, and husband, Marion, of North Carolina; brothers, Junior Lee Oscar, and companion, Mary Cook, of Frankford, and David Franklin, and wife, Charlotte, of Deerfield, Ohio; and two grandchildren.

Funeral service is Saturday, May 31, 1 p.m. at Marvin Chapel United Methodist Church with Pastor Christopher Scott officiating. Interment will be in Ruckman Cemetery. Family will receive friends two hours prior to the service.

VanReenen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
