James Moore

James Lee Moore, age 71, of Gaithersburg, Maryland, passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2017, at Adventist Healthcare Shady Grove Medical Center in Rockville, Maryland.

Born August 12, 1945, at Marlinton, he was a son of the late Wilbur E. and Gladys McMillion Moore.

James was a 1963 graduate of Hillsboro High School and received a business degree from Glenville State College. He retired from the federal government and worked in security for Hughes Network.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Ernie Speck.

He is survived by his wife, Connie Moore; a sister, Wilma Thomas, and husband, Douglas, of Marion, Virginia; a nephew, Brian Thomas, and wife, Victoria, of Roanoke, Virginia; a niece, Valerie Thomas; of Marion, Virginia; and a great-nephew, Dylan Thomas, of Roanoke, Virginia.

Graveside service was held May 7 at Mountain View Cemetery in Marlinton with Rev. Lloyd Arbogast officiating.
