Hilda Jane Elkins, 80, of Marlinton, went to be with the Lord Monday, December 18, 2023, following a long illness.
Born March 8, 1943, she was a daughter of the later Luther Kirk and Rachel Potter.
She was a homemaker and a very kind and loving person. She loved her cats, enjoyed eating out, fishing and camping with her husband, and spending time with her family. She had a heart full of love for everyone she knew.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Kirk; and two sisters, Virginia Schoolcraft and Leona Schoolcraft; and one grandson, Steven Adkinson.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Arnold Elkins; daughter, Debbie Schoolcraft (Denton Circosta), of Buckeye; sons, Jerry Schoolcraft, Jr. (Crystel McMillion), of Renick, and Randy Schoolcraft (Pam Hoover), of Marlinton; step-daughter, Joane Harris, of Reedsville; five grandchildren, Brandy Baldwin, Tina Davis, Ricky Schoolcraft, Amanda McMillion and Thomas Ryan Schoolcraft; nine great-grandchildren, Bransen Baldwin, Brikenzie Baldwin, Valerie Schoolcraft, Franklin Schoolcraft, Dixie Schoolcraft, Josh Davis, Lucus Davis, Emma Davis and Charlotte McMillion.
The funeral service was held Saturday, 23, 2023, at Kimble Funeral Home in Marlinton with Pastor Sam Felton officiating.
Interment was in Henry D. Sharp Cemetery at Stamping Creek.
