Henry Allen Taylor, age 77, of Green Bank, passed away Friday, January 22, 2016, at the home of his daughter, Brenda Taylor, in Green Bank.

Born August 19, 1938, at Wesley Chapel, he was a son of the late Grover and Frances Taylor.

On December 25, 1958, he married Connie Lambert. They built and operated Henry’s Quick Stop in Green Bank for 20 years. He was also owner and operator of Taylor’s Equipment Company and retired from the National Radio Astronomy Observatory with 33 years of service.

Henry never met a stranger and was a friend to all who knew him. He was a hardworking man who was willing to help anyone in need. He will be greatly missed.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Connie, August 15, 1997.

He is survived by three children, Brenda Leigh Taylor, and companion, Dan, Tina Marie O’Brien, and husband, Mike, and Henry Allen “H.A.” Taylor, II, and wife, Katrina, all of Green Bank; two grandsons, Michael Allen O’Brien, and fiancée, Ashley, and Dakota Cole Taylor, all of Green Bank; a granddaughter, McKenna Mae Taylor, of Green Bank; a very special “Sweetie Pie,” Marian Taylor, of Huttonsville, and her children, Misty, Miranda, Tiffany and Lincoln; a brother, Larry Taylor, and wife, Minnie Faye, of Huntersville; a sister, Beverly Taylor, of Lynnfield, Massachusetts; and his faithful companion of many years, his dog, Honey.

Family will receive friends Thursday, January 28, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home in Arbovale. Funeral service Friday, January 29,1 p.m. at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home in Arbovale with Pastors David Rittenhouse and Julian Rittenhouse officiating. Interment will be in the Arbovale Cemetery.
