Helen Mullenax, age 69, of Bartow, passed away at her residence in Buckhannon.

Born July 23, 1948, at Marlinton, she was a daughter of the late Leonard James and Letha Mae Smith Long.

Helen was a member of the Green Bank Church of God. She was a homemaker and had worked as a brake person at Cass Scenic Railroad State Park.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Loretta Bridges; and two brothers, Robert Long and Leonard James Long, Jr.

She is survived by her husband, Wallace Junior Mullenax; daughters, Melinda Boehmer and Teresa Finster, and husband, James, all of Buckhannon; sons, David Long, and wife, Patricia, of Marlinton, and Lewis Mullenax, of Martinsburg; grandchildren, Ashley, Joshua, Matthew, Meghan, Caleb, Corinthia, Joscelyn and Joey; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Joann Cramer, and husband, Robert, of Buckeye, Ellen Taylor, and husband, John, of Durbin, Louise Adams, and husband, Boyd, of Robbinsville, North Carolina, and Evelyn Brown, of Arbovale; and a brother, Curtis Long, of Green Bank.

Funeral service was held March 3 at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home in Arbovale with Mancil Doolittle officiating. Interment was in Wanless Cemetery on Back Mountain Road, Durbin.
