Harold Brown Griffin, 72, of Lyndhurst, Virginia, passed away Tuesday, July, 16, 2024, in Fishersville, Virginia.
Born in Marlinton, December 28, 1951, he was a son of the late Raymond (Jack) Griffin and Charlotte Turner Griffin.
Harold was a graduate of Pocahontas County High School. He retired as a Deputy Sheriff from the Highland County Sheriff’s Department in 2006 after 26 years of service.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Joyce Newlen Griffin; brother, Frank Griffin, and wife, Barbara, of Morgantown; sister, Anna Lowery, and husband, Joe, of Lyndhurst, Virginia; niece, Mandy Driscole; and nephews, Chris Griffin and Nate McManus.
The funeral service was held Friday, July 19, 2024, at Charlton and Groome Funeral Home in Fishersville, Virginia, with Pastor Billy Coffey officiating. Burial was in Augusta Memorial Park.
Serving as Active Pallbearers were Bill Hoover, Charlie Hoover, Jason Hise, Nate McManus, Matthew Lowery and Scott Lowery.
