Harold McQuain Bryant, age 77, of Kerrville, Texas, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2015, at San Antonio Hospital in San Antonio, Texas.
Born March 17, 1938, in Thornwood, he was a son of the late Charles and Sherron Bryant.
After serving as an Ohio State Highway Patrol Officer, he and his brother, Charles, purchased and ran an auto dealership in Bartow for nine years. In 1974, he and his family moved to Kerrville, Texas, where he owned and operated Bryant Motors for 28 years.
Harold was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Hill Country Shrine Club.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Bryant.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Hope Bryant; a son, Michael Bryant, and wife, Cindy, of San Antonio, Texas; a daughter, Dana Foster, and husband, Bryon, of Kerrville, Texas; granddaughters, Kristi, and husband, Josh, Staci Foster and Molly Bryant, all of Texas; great-grandsons, Joshua and Evan; step-father, Delbert Waybright, of Elkins; a brother, Charles Bryant, and wife, Patty, of West Virginia; step-brother, David Waybright, and wife, Melinda, of West Virginia; sister-in-law, Irene Bryant, of North Carolina; and many nieces and nephews.
Harold’s wishes were to be taken back to the beautiful mountains of West Virginia for burial of his ashes.
Graveside service will be Saturday, July 11, 2 p.m. in the Arbovale Cemetery with Rev. David Rittenhouse officiating. A reception will follow at the Arbovale United Methodist Church.
