Guy Tingler, age 63, of Bartow, passed away Saturday, December 31, 2016, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
Born October 8, 1953, at Cherry Grove, he was a son of Betty Greathouse Tingler, of Cherry Grove, and the late Marshall Tingler.
Guy worked with pulpwood as an equipment operator and was an avid bear hunter and fisherman. He was a Baptist by faith and a courageous cancer fighter.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Victor Tingler; a sister, Cathy Huffman; and an infant brother.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Connie Arbogast Tingler, whom he married September 20, 1975; two daughters, Tamela Tingler, of Petersburg, and Jennifer Warner, and husband, Aric, of Bartow; a sister, Sharon Carter, and husband, Gary, of Green Bank; three brothers, Roger Tingler, and wife, Gloria, Rick Tingler, and wife, Rhonda, and Timothy Tingler, and wife, Melinda, all of Cherry Grove; and two grandchildren, Danielle Warner and Haley Warner.
Graveside service January 4 in the Tingler Family Cemetery on Big Mountain in Cherry Grove with Harold Mullenax officiating.
