Greenbrier to crest at just above flood stage before midnight

The National Weather Service in Charleston Wv has issued a Flood Warning for the Greenbrier River at Marlinton
from late tonight to Friday morning…or until the warning is cancelled.
At 8:45 p.m. Thursday the river was at 8.6 feet.
Minor Flooding is forecast.
Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
Forecast: rise above flood stage before midnight and continue to rise to near 10.3 feet after midnight. The river will fall below flood stage by
early Friday.
At stages near 10.0 feet, low-lying areas along the river are flooded.
First and Second avenues begin to flood.
A crest near 10.3 feet compares to a previous crest of 10.7 feet on March 11, 2015.
