Grand Jury indicts eight

The Pocahontas County Grand Jury handed up indictments against eight individuals Tuesday.
Arraignments in the following cases are scheduled for Thursday, December 3, at 9 a.m. before the Honorable Judge James J. Rowe:
Angela G. Turner, 41, of Marlinton – One Count, Manufacture of a Controlled Substance, a felony.
Harold T. Turner, 60, of Marlinton – One Count, Manufacture of a Controlled Substance, a felony
Rodney Swearingen, 34, of Hillsboro – One Count, Driving While Suspended or Revoked for Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a felony.
Ernest Frank Hardy, II, 40, of Mt. Olive Correctional Center – One Count, Malicious Assault, a felony; and One Count Attempted Murder, a felony.
Arraignments in the following cases are scheduled for Friday, December 11, at 9:30 a.m. before the Honorable Judge Robert E. Richardson:
Christian Paige Haney, 21, of Hillsboro – One Count, Manufacture of a Controlled Substance, a felony.
Burt Harmon, 18, of Hillsboro – One Count, Manufacture of a Controlled Sub- stance, a felony.
Dustin D. Morrison, 20, of Marlinton – One Count, Possession of a Controlled Substance, a misdemeanor; One Count, Brandishing a Deadly Weapon, a misdemeanor.
Kimberly Vandevender, 27, of Green Bank – Eight Counts, Taking the Identity of another Person, a felony.
An indictment is not proof of guilt. All persons are considered innocent until proven otherwise by a jury of their peers.
