Grand jury hands up indictments

The August Grand Jury convened last Tuesday in Pocahontas County and handed up indictments against the following individuals:

Robert R. Hall, 67, of Hillsboro – one count, person prohibited from possessing a firearm, a misdemeanor.

David Bradley Moyers, 42, hometown unknown – two counts, driving while license revoked for driving under the influence of alcohol, third or subsequent offense, a felony; one count, assault, a misdemeanor; one count, destruction of property, a misdemeanor; one count, brandishing a deadly weapon, a misdemeanor.

Harley L. Squires, 36, of Hillsboro – one count, malicious assault, a felony.

Roy Lynn Walker, 58, of Hillsboro – one count, harassment, a misdemeanor; one count, intimidation of and against public officers and employees, a felony; three counts, indecent exposure, a misdemeanor.

Sherry L. Carpenter, 60, of Marlinton – one count, stalking, second offense, a felony.

Mason L. Walker, 24, of Hillsboro – one count, murder in the first degree, a felony; one count, use or presentment of a firearm during the commission of a felony, a felony; one count, person prohibited from possessing a firearm, a misdemeanor.

Randall Joel Moore, 44, of Arbovale – one count, murder in the first degree, a felony.

An indictment is not proof of guilt. All individuals are considered innocent until proven otherwise by a jury of their peers.
