Grand Jury hands up indictments against 13 individuals

The Pocahontas County Grand Jury convened April 2 and returned the following indictments:

Arraignments in these cases will be held Wednesday, April 17, before the Honorable Judge Robert E. Richardson:

Christina Giese, 41, of Arbovale – one count, burglary, a felony; one count, trespassing, a misdemeanor; one count, destruction of property, a misdemeanor.

Phillip Leone, 40, of Monterville – one count, burglary, a felony; one count, grand larceny, a felony.

Karlee Scheimreif, 42, of Snowshoe – one count, malicious assault, a felony.

Jacob McClure, 33, of Marlinton – one count, sexual assault in the second degree, a felony; one count, sexual abuse, first degree, a felony.

Taylor Cook, 36, of Marlinton – one count, assault, a misdemeanor; one count, destruction of property, a misdemeanor; three counts, malicious assault, a felony.

Courtney Wilfong aka Courtney Kincaid, 38, of Marlinton – one count, burglary, a felony; one count, conspiracy, a felony; one count, petit larceny, a misdemeanor; two counts, conspiracy, a misdemeanor; one count, receiving or transferring stolen goods, a misdemeanor.

Joshua Kincaid, 38, of Marlinton – one count, conspiracy, a felony; two counts, conspiracy, a misdemeanor; one count, receiving or transferring stolen goods, a misdemeanor.

Arraignments for the following cases will be held Thursday, April 18, before the Honorable Judge Jennifer P. Dent:

Joseph Thompson, 32, of Marlinton – one count, malicious assault, a felony.

Roy Oscar, Jr., 44, of Marlinton – one count, strangulation, a felony; one count, domestic battery, a misdemeanor.

Armando Capo, 50, of Brooklyn, New York – one count, fleeing from a law enforcement officer with reckless indifference of the safety of other persons, a felony; one count, child neglect causing risk or serious bodily injury, a felony.

Roslynn McCarty, 25, of Elkins – two counts, domestic battery, a misdemeanor; one count, obstructing an officer, a misdemeanor; one count, concealment or removal of minor child from custodian or from person entitled to visitation, a felony.

Roy Lambert, Jr., 55, of Bartow – one count, sexual abuse in the first degree, a felony.

David W. Mace, 38, of Marlinton – one count, strangulation, a felony; one count, domestic battery, a misdemeanor; one count, domestic assault, a misdemeanor; one count, wanton endangerment involving a firearm, a felony.

An indictment is not proof of guilt. All persons are considered innocent until deemed otherwise by their own admission or by a jury of their peers.
