Grace Virginia Gay Mynuk, age 84, of Marlinton, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2015, at Pocahontas Memorial Hospital in Marlinton.

Born December 8, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Cecil and Stella Waugh Gay.

Grace was an EMT with the Marlinton Fire-Rescue for 17 years, and was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Marlinton.

On January 3, 1951, she married Michael Mynuk, Jr., who preceded her in death on December 31, 2013.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Dennis Michael Mynuk, (1952 – 2012;) and her daughter-in-law, Linda Suzanne Mynuk (1955 – 2013.)

She is survived by two sisters, Patricia Gay Sharp, of Burgaw, North Carolina, and Eleanor Gay Stankevich, of Leitown, Pennsylvania; a granddaughter, Tatiana Mynuk, of Lewisburg; a grandson, Eric Mynuk, and wife, Calia, of Las Vegas, Nevada; two great-grandsons, Ian Mitchell, of Los Angeles, California, and Alastir Mynuk, of Lewisburg; and many nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends Friday, January 8, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Kimble Funeral Home in Marlinton. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, January 9, 11 a.m. at St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Marlinton with Father Arthur Bufogle officiating. The family requests that friends bring written memories of Grace to share.

Memorials may be made to the Marlinton Fire-Rescue, 709 Second Avenue, Marlinton, WV 24954.
