Gloria Dean Eye Knox, age 92, a native of Durbin and resident of Canton, Georgia, peacefully passed away Thursday, February 6, 2025.
Mrs. Knox was a 1950 graduate of Green Bank High School.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Blanche Eye; and her husband, L. Jeff Knox.
She is survived by a daughter, Jeffney (Alan) Fletcher, of Canton, Georgia; two sons, George (Mary) Knox, of McKinney, Texas, and Garth (Denise) Knox, of Fairhope, Alabama; six grandchildren, Tiffany (Devin), Katy (Josh), Drew (Katie), Christopher, Maci (Cody) and Allie (Logan); six great-grandchildren, Knox, Madeleine, Sloan, Ava, Brody and Madison Dean; and special friends, Doris Reynolds and Earlene Starr.
Mrs. Knox will be brought back to West Virginia to be laid to rest with her husband and family.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, February 15, 2025, at 1 p.m. at xArbovale Cemetery.
In the event of bad weather, the service will be moved to the Wallace and Wallace Chapel in Arbovale.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to your local Alzheimer’s Association or a charity of your choice.
