Gerald Anderson

Gerald G. “Gordie” Anderson, age 69, of Marlinton, passed away Sunday, March 5, 2017, at his home, following a long illness.

Born January 10, 1948, at Mountain Grove, Virginia, he was a son of the late Roy Wanamaker and Edna Anderson.

Gordie was a life-long logger and woodsman.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Roy Anderson, Jr., Clyde Anderson, Randy Anderson, Bill Anderson and Wayne Anderson.

He is survived by his wife, Waneta Joyce Anderson; step-sons, James Pritt and Tommie Pritt; a brother, Clarence Anderson; and sisters, Millie Forbes, Anagale Terry and Cheryl Fry.

A graveside service will be held Friday, April 14, 2 p.m. at the Mountain Grove Cemetery in Mountain Grove, Virginia, with David Petre officiating.
