Genevieve Marie Rex-rode, 78, of Durbin, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2024, at her home.

Born October 16, 1945, in Elkins, she was a daughter of the late Edward Snyder and Lilly Pudder Snyder.

Genevieve, during her working years, was employed by Beta Shoe Factory, Hanover Shoe, Snowshoe Resort and Cass Scenic Railroad Park.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Everette “June” Rexrode; sisters, Alma Taylor and Ruth Gear; and brothers, George Snyder, Wayne Snyder, James Snyder and Wilson Snyder.

She is survived by her sons, Charles Everette Rexrode, of Bartow, Victor DeWayne Rexrode and companion, Connie Miller, of Durbin, and Ronald Lee Rexrode, wife, Loretta, of Durbin; sisters, Alpha Lutz, of Windham, Ohio, and Grace Currence, of Junior; 10 grandchildren; one step-grandchild; eight great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, May 9, 2024, 2 p.m. at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home in Arbovale with Pastor Carl Greathouse and Mr. Jerry Nelson officiating.

Burial will follow at the Arbovale Cemetery Annex.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until time of the service.

Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home in Arbovale is in charge of arrangements.
