“The Peacock Building” on Main Street in Marlinton received a fresh coat of paint last week – a vibrant shade of teal. The plywood holding the place of the first floor windows – which need replaced – was looking a bit drab against the new paint job, so owners Bobby and Alison Safrit asked local homeschool students to paint a mountain scape mural for them. The students were accompanied by their parents who also picked up brushes for the colorful mural.
