Frank McFadden

Frank Arthur “Mac” McFadden, Sr., age 80, of Valencia, Pennsylvania, passed away November 20, 2014, at UPMC Passavant in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Born October 30, 1934, in Marlinton, he was the oldest son of the late Harlen James and Edith Frances Galford McFadden.

Mac retired from a career as a barber. He was a Veteran of the United States Army.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Wade and Christopher; and three brothers, Jesse, an infant, Arthur Charles McFadden and John Otis McFadden.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Carol Sweetland McFadden; three sons, Mark McFadden, and wife, Marie, of Denver, Colorado, Frank McFadden, Jr., and wife, Mary, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Brett McFadden, and wife, Sophia, of Waco, Texas; five grandchildren, Dawson, Isaiah, Sofia, Grace and Aaron; three brothers, Alfred James McFadden, and wife, Gail, of Wilmington, North Carolina, Rev. Thomas Lee McFadden, and wife, Lynda, of Austinburg, Ohio, Everett Guy McFadden, and wife, Sue, of Austintown, Ohio; and a sister, Corenia G. McFadden Jordan, of Marlinton.

Memorial service was November 22 at Cross Ways Church in Valencia, Pennsylvania, with Rev. Thomas J. McFadden and Brett McFadden officiating. Interment was in the Virginia Military Cemetery in Bridgeville, Virginia.
