Frances Greathouse

Frances A. Greathouse, age 70, of Durbin, passed away Friday, June 13, 2014, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.

Born June 12, 1944, at Bartow, she was a daughter of the late Samuel W. and Ellen Maxine Curry Lantz. Frances was a member of Calvary Gospel Church in Durbin.

She was a homemaker, loving mother, grandmother and friend. She loved crafts and gardening. She also enjoyed caring for “Pap,” the cat and “LJ,” her dog.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan Dale Greathouse in December 2002.

She is survived by three sons, Kevin Greathouse, and wife, Sharon, Carl Great- house, and wife, Regina, and Donald Greathouse, and wife, Wanda, all of Durbin; five grandchildren, Fallon Greathouse, and fiancé, Tommy Gray, Jenna Great-house, Jordan Greathouse, and Wesley Lambert, all of Durbin, and Joshua Lambert, and fiancée, Callie Morrison, of Bartow; one great-grandchild, Caden Lambert, of Bartow; two sisters, Patty Greathouse, and husband, Bud, of Durbin, and Karen Collins, and husband, Arthur, of Bartow; and two brothers, Woody Lantz, and wife, Joan, of Durbin, and Leon Lantz, and wife, Bev, of Wheeling.

Graveside service was June 16 at the Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery with Pastors Carl Greathouse and Harold Swecker officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.
