Frances Kay Murray Castle, 56, of Cresaptown, Maryland, formerly of Marlinton, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, August 18, 2020, at Western Maryland Hospital, after a long battle with cancer.

Born July 26, 1964, in Alexandria, Virginia, she was a beloved daughter of Forrest and Susie Friel and the late French Murray.

Frances was employed at Martin’s and was the Maryland State Auxiliary Madam President for 2019-2020. She worked to raise money for several charities, but Kenny’s Hope for Childhood Cancer was her first choice.

She is survived by her companion, Bruce Foote; daughter, Stephaine Sevy; grandson, Lucas; sisters, Margaret (Ted) Wilfong, Brenda Butler, Connie Colaw, Lisa (Sherman) Robertson, Teresa (Geno) Johnson, Sandy Kraut; brother, Rusty Friel; three aunts; and many nieces and nephews.

In keeping with her wishes, the body was cremated and the ashes will be placed at a later date.

A memorial service was held at the Droop Mountain Battlefield State Park Lookout Tower with Pastor Phillip Thompson officiating.
