Forrest Delayne “Big N’” Rhea, age 59, of Marlinton, died Saturday, April 16, 2016, at his home.

Born May 12, 1956, at Clarksburg, he was a son of the late Forrest Lyle and Lucille Regena Hannah Rhea.

Delayne was a 1974 graduate of Pocahontas County High School. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a funeral assistant at VanReenen Funeral Home.

“Big N’” was a former member of the Marlinton Volunteer Fire Department; former coach for the Marlinton Vikings Football team; former Tee-ball and Little League coach; former member of the Marlinton Lions Club and the Moose Lodge; and a former first baseman for the Foodland slow pitch softball team.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa Renee Shearer Rhea; a daughter, Heather Renee Rhea, and fiancé, Jamie McNeill, of Buckeye; a son, Justin Lyle Rhea, and companion, Hillary, of Marlinton; a brother, David Dewayne “Little N’” Rhea, and wife, Teresa, of Marlinton; and a grandson, Chase Tucker McNeill.

Memorial service was April 19 at VanReenen Funeral Home with Sam Felton officiating.
