Celebrate our youth and the arts at the first First Friday of the season, May 2, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Discovery Junction in Marlinton.

Held in conjunction with Marlinton Woman’s Club Evening with the Arts, the event will feature student performances on stage, including Adrienne’s young dancers, music students from Marlinton Elementary and Hillsboro Elementary and the Pocahontas County High School band.

High school and middle school student artwork will be on display inside the Opera House from 4:30 to 6 p.m. New this year – some of that artwork may be for sale.

As with all First Friday events, the Farmers Market will be there, along with several businesses and organizations offering fun activities for all ages.

Please note, the splash pad has not yet been turned on for the season.

Come out and enjoy this family-friendly event.
