SNOWSHOE
Snowshoe had six or seven inches of new snow Sunday, and the skiing has been excellent, we hear. Sometimes with the pretty weather at lower altitudes, it’s hard to realize the snow hold so well up there.

Tops 1000
Jimmy Cutlip became the first player in the history of Pocahontas County High School to score 1,000 points in a single season here Friday night when he poured in 47 points in a PCHS 107-42 victory over Union. Cutlip outscored the Union team reaching the 1000th mark. He is carrying a 29-point average.
David Jonese had 14 points. David Cassell 15 and Jimmy Ryder 10, as Pocahontas ran its record to 13-5 on the season.

Mrs. Lucy Taylor Bussard, 76, of Dunmore, widow of Howard Bussard, who died in 1949; and daughter of the late George and Amanda Kelley Taylor. Funeral service from VanReenen Funeral Home with burial in Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
