Miss Pocahontas
Susie Lynn Workman was crowned Miss Pocahontas in a lovely pageant last Thursday.
Susie is the daughter of W. D. Workman, of Hillsboro. She was sponsored by Marlinton Rotary.
Second was Marzella Hollandsworth, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hollandsworth, of Marlinton. She was sponsored by Post 50, American Legion, Marlinton.
Third was Sarah Howard, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James W. Howard, of Buckeye. She was sponsored by Marlinton Business and Professional Women’s Club.
Susan Viers, was voted Miss Congeniality. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Viers, of Buckeye, and was sponsored by Edray Home Demonstration Club.
WEDDING
White’s Chapel United Methodist Church at Wood-row was the setting Sunday, June 30, 1974, for the marriage of Miss Charlotte Ann Galford, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Garland Galford, of Marlinton, and Keith Fulton Alderman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Alderman, of Huntersville.

DEATHS
Kent Loury 70, of Minnehaha Springs, a son of the late Jacob J. and Eva Ruth McLaughlin Loury.
Funeral was held from the Minnehaha Springs United Methodist Church with burial in the Huntersville Cemetery.
