A huge rock came off Browns Mountain last Thursday afternoon, clear from the top, broke in 4 or 5 pieces with one piece being about half and weighing possibly 30 tons. It broke the electric line, bounced on the road, tore a tree and broke the telephone line and landed over in the far side of Knapps Creek. It must have been a fearsome sight.
