There’s only a couple weeks left of the Farmers Market season. Shop locally and support your community. Get your produce at any of our three locations in Pocahontas County. On Wednesday, we’ll be at Henry’s Quick Stop in Green Bank from 3 to 6 p.m. On Friday, we’ll be under the pavilion in the parking lot of Linwood Library at the base of Snowshoe Mountain from 3:30 to 6 p.m.
Saturday, September 26, the Marlinton Farmers Market will be participating in the West Virginia Roadkill Cook-off/Autumn Harvest Festival. We will be located on First Avenue. There will be extra signage to direct customers.
This week at the market we will have a variety of tomatoes, peppers, beans, squash, potatoes, beets, chard, collards, kale, onions, garlic, fresh herbs, corn, cabbage, pears, peaches, apples and more. We also have farm fresh eggs, local meats, seafood, salt rising bread, baked goods, artisan breads, pepperoni rolls, specialty cookies, granola, freshly ground flours, molasses, lard, local honey, vanilla extracts, jams, jellies, flowers, flower arrangements, unique fabrics, quilts, sewing accessories, specialty yarns, hand knitted apparel, jewelry, nature paintings, colorful tie dyes and many more hand crafted items. Come check out the market and get what you need before it’s gone for the season!
We’ve collected some pictures for our “cutest pet at the market” contest. The winner will be announced Saturday, September 26, at the Marlinton Market. The winner will receive a gift basket courtesy of the Farmers Market and its vendors.
We have a variety of promotional products available for purchase – keychains, PCFM cookbooks, totes and T-shirts. All proceeds support the market.
The Pocahontas County Farmers Market gladly accepts senior vouchers, WIC vouchers and SNAP.
The SNAP will be unavailable September 26, but will be back up and running until the last market on October 10
