Evelyn Hevener Beverage, age 82, of Green Bank, passed away Friday, August 29, 2014, at Pocahontas Center in Marlinton following a long illness.
Born July 11, 1932, at Green Bank, she was a daughter of the late Clyde and Ethel Trainer Hevener.
Evelyn was a cook for Pocahontas County Schools for 28 years. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association, a member of the Green Bank Senior Center and the Pine Grove Church of the Brethren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Grace Burner and Goldie VanReenan; and a nephew, Jimmie Hevener.
She is survived by two sons, Bob Beverage, of Ronceverte, and Rick Beverage, of Arbovale; a daughter, Charlotte Stout, of Ronceverte; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was September 1 at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home in Arbovale with Pastor David Rittenhouse officiating.
Interment was in the Arbovale Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the BFD Fire Department.
