Elmer C “Coach” Friel

 Elmer Charles Friel 82, of Marlinton passed away May 13, 2015 at Pocahontas Memorial Hospital.  Born February 7, 1933 at Marlinton and was a son of the late Arthur Samuel and Hulda Sharp Friel.  

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 18,  at the Lantz Funeral Home in Buckeye.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19,  at the Marlinton United Methodist Church with Pastor David Merryman officiating.  Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery in Marlinton.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Elmer Friel Athletic Fund C/O City National Bank 8th Street Marlinton, WV 24954,  or Leukemia, Lymphoma Society, 404 BNA Drive Suite 102, Nashville, TN 37217
