Ellen Long Taylor, 76, of Arbovale, passed away at her home Thursday, April 10, 2025.

Born July 23, 1948, in Marlinton, she was a daughter of the late Leanord and Leatha Mae Smith Long.

Ellen was a homemaker, enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and traveling to Elkins to watch the races at the dirt track.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Loretta Bridges and Helen Mullenax; and three brothers, Robert, Junior and Curtis Long.

Ellen is survived by her husband of 45 years, Johnny Wayne Taylor; son, Johnny Wayne Taylor Jr., and wife, Ashley, of Elkins; grandchildren, Mildred “Millie” Taylor and Dwayne Taylor; a great-grandchild on the way; sisters, Louise Adams, and husband, Boyd, of North Carolina, Evelyn Brown, and her son, Thomas Brown, of Arbovale, and JoAnn Kra-mer, and husband, Bob, of Buckeye; brother, David Long, and wife, Patricia, of Edray; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service was held Sunday, April 13, 2025, at the Hebron Baptist Church in Green Bank with Pastor Larry Carr officiating. Burial was in the Wanless Cemetery near Cass.
