Elizabeth Mary-Lois Browning, died suddenly Friday, October 30, in Naples, Florida, succumbing to the long-fought disease of addiction.

Born May 25, 1984, she was a daughter of Drs. William and Patricia Browning, of Hillsboro, whose vigilant love and support were her ballast.

Elizabeth “Izzi” was a 2002 graduate of Pocahontas County High School. She attended New River Community College and earned a Medical Assistant’s Degree at Everest College in Columbus, Ohio.

Izzi adored children and animals, including her dear Bella, and they loved her back. Her hearty laugh will ring in our ears forever.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Ariana Owen Browning, whom she cherished.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her dear brother, Dr. William M. Browning, III, and wife, Jill; her beloved nephew and niece, Colin McNeel and Katelyn Jane; uncle and aunt, Robert and Diane Browning, and their children, Nora and Owen, and aunt Pam Matchett, and her children, Jennifer, Kristy and Erick, and their families.

VanReenen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Pocahontas County, 410 Second Avenue, Marlinton, WV 24954.
