Eleanor Broyles

Eleanor May Broyles, age 88, of Creston, Ohio, died Thursday, April 24, 2014, at Orrville Point Nursing Home in Orrville, Ohio, following a period of declining health.

Born October 4, 1925, at Cass, she was a daughter of the late Roy M. and Abbie N. Beverage McPaters.

Eleanor married Albert Broyles on May 25, 1945. He preceded her in death September 2, 1998.

She retired from the Westfield Companies and had made her home in Creston, Ohio, for the past 45 years. She attended Canaan Free Will Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Oliver McPaters; and three sisters, Alma McPaters, Virginia Shrader and Mary Helen McPaters.

She is survived by two brothers, William McPaters, of Hayes, Virginia, and Ted McPaters, of Marlinton; and nieces and nephews, including Donald “Bud” Broyles, and Heidi, who cared for her for the past several years.

Graveside service was April 28 at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Wadswith, Ohio, with Rev. George Register officiating.
