Eileen Francis Ash, 87, of Hopewell, Virginia, died Saturday, October 26, 2024, at home.

Born March 27, 1937, at Droop, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Gladys Rose Starks.

Eileen was a retired waitress and was of the Methodist faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roby J. Ash, Sr.; brother, Henry Starks; sisters, Grace Coleman, Clara Gillispie, Ruth Burgess and Faye Starks.

She is survived by her daughters, Kathleen F. Ash and Gladys M. Cole, both of Hopewell, Virginia; son, Roy J. Ash, Jr., of Alderson; sister, Margarett Taylor, of Droop; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great- grandchild on the way.

Graveside service was held Wednesday, October 20, 2024, at Sunset Cemetery with Pastor Tim Scott officiating.
