Earl Mace

Earl Julian Mace, age 85, of Durbin, passed away Saturday, April 30, 2016, at his home.

Born October 13, 1930, at Linwood, he was a son of the late Ligon and Bessie Jackson Mace.

Julian was a United States Marine Corps Veteran. He worked for 30 years for Howes Leather Company. He loved to hunt and fish.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Moore Mace; and 13 brothers and sisters.

He is survived by two sons, Paul Mace and David Mace, both of Durbin; two sisters, Betty Armstrong, of Marlinton, and Mary Grace Hannah, of Alderson; and two grandchildren, Makayla Mace and Isaac Mace, both of Durbin.

Funeral service is Saturday, May 14, 2 p.m. at Bethel United Methodist Church with Pastor William Vandevender officiating. Interment will be in the Bethel Church Cemetery with Military Graveside Rites by the Pocahontas County Veterans Honor Corps. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
