Photo courtesy of Durbin Days Heritage Festival committee[\/caption]\r\n\r\nDon Jennings\r\nCouncilman\r\n\r\nThe Durbin Christmas Parade had a lot of community support this year. \r\n\r\nIt was a little cold, but I don\u2019t think the kids felt it because they were more interested in seeing Santa. \r\n\r\nThere was a Christmas Party at the Durbin Library after the parade, where the children got to sit on Santa\u2019s lap to tell him what they want for Christmas. \r\n\r\nDanielle Mace set up a table so the kids could make Christmas Tree Ornaments. \r\n\r\nThe Durbin Days Festival Committee went all out with the decorations and providing treats of hot chocolate and fruit punch\u00a0and a\u00a0variety of cookies as well as an old favorite \u2013 popcorn. \r\n\r\nSanta and one of his elves handed out small gifts and a bag of candy to every child. Some of the kids were a little shy, but Santa made them smile.
