The Pocahontas Coun-ty Drama Workshop is gearing up for this Fall’s production of “Catch Me If You Can” under the direction of Jeff Marcum. A cast has been selected and rehearsals are underway.
Nathan Dameron takes the lead as Daniel Corban, a newlywed with a missing wife who tries to maintain his sanity while a zany roller coaster of accusations fly his way. Chris Curry will assume the role of Inspector Levine, an overworked police detective who must decide if there has been a crime committed before he can begin to solve it. Joe Miller will portray Father Kelleher, a priest who aims to keep the peace while being drawn further and further into a conspiracy. Veteran actress Rachel Fanning will step into the high heeled pumps of Elizabeth Corban who stands to inherit a fortune if she can stay ahead of an elaborate con. Newcomer Ashley Ritter joins the cast as Mrs. Parker, a character who helps twist the plot as only a hapless bimbo can. Rounding out the cast will be James Spangler, also new to the Drama Workshop. James will portray Sidney, a man who delivers sandwiches and bites off more than he can chew.
“Catch Me If You Can” will be performed at the Pocahontas County Opera House Friday and Saturday, September 11 and 12 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, September 13, at 2 p.m.
