Donald Doss

Donald Lee “Buster” Doss, age 79, of West Haven, Connecticut, formerly of Hillsboro, died Friday, March 9, 2018, at Connecticut Hospice, Inc., in Branford, Connecticut.

Born April 27, 1938, at Red Dragon, he was a son of the late Moncie and Grace Morrison Doss.

Donald was a construction equipment operator and a United States Navy Veteran.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Stewart Doss; son, John Estep, Jr.; and brother, William “Billy” Doss.

He is survived by his daughter, Sharon Vaccaro, and husband, Donald; sister, Eveline “Mut” Doss Nelson; brothers, Norman Doss, and wife, Faye, Dennis Doss, and wife, Gloria, Freddie Doss, and wife, Joyce, and Randy Doss, and wife, Josie; grandchildren, Michael, Danny, Alaina, Jacqueline and Kelsey; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held Friday, March 16, 1 p.m. at VanReenen Funeral Home in Marlinton with Pastor Shaun Clark officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Hillsboro. Family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until time of service.
