David McGuire

David H. McGuire, age 85, of Newton and Woodrow, passed away Friday, August 4, 2017, from complications of Alzhei-mer’s and cancer.

David was a retired construction worker. He was a member of Local 132 IUOE, USW14614 and Local 500 Laborers Union.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John V. and Mary Rucker McGuire; a sister, Oreida Faye Cain; and a brother, John Elton McGuire.

He is survived by two sons, David A. McGuire, of Charleston, and Robert L. McGuire, of Marlinton; a daughter, Patricia Taylor, of Newton; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the staff of Miletree Center in Spencer and Kanawha Valley Hospice.

Per his wishes, the body will be cremated and there will be no service.
