David Miles Delp, 68, of Beckley, peacefully passed Thursday, June 13, 2024, at his home with his granddaughters by his side. The day was also the 30th wedding anniversary of David and his late wife, Pam.

Born on July 2, 1955, in Richwood, he was a beloved son of the late Howard Delp and Genevieve Delp.

Dave was an immensely loved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend.

He had many accomplishments in his law enforcement career. He strived to do an exceptional job at everything he was involved in and was a well-respected, accomplished man.

Dave was married to Pamela Delp for many years. He spent years dedicatedly caring of her. He cherished her, and their bond was nothing short of unbreakable.

In addition to his career and the endearing love for his wife, he loved his cats, fishing and enjoying time with his granddaughters and great-grandchildren. Dave brought joy to everyone he came across as he was very kind, admirable and distinguished.

He is survived by his daughter, Sarita Delp, of Lewisburg; grandchildren, Chloie and Brianna Delp, both of Lewisburg; great-grandchildren, Malakai and Myrah McCormick and Keyana Berry; and sisters, Tonya Lutes and Brenda Groves McCall, both of Richwood.

Dave’s sweet smile, warm kindness, selflessness and unwavering support will be deeply missed and remembered forever by those who had the honor of knowing him.

A Celebration of Life was held Monday, June 24, 2024, at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg. Burial was in Arbovale Cemetery, next to his wife.

Dave’s legacy of kindness, love and generosity will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg was in charge of arrangements.
