The Pocahontas County Health Department reports that, as of Tuesday afternoon, there were 30 active cases of COVID in Pocahontas County.
There have also been three COVID-related deaths in the past two weeks, bringing the total number of deaths in the county from this pandemic to 15.
The best way to prevent or limit the spread of this virus is to reduce your exposure opportunities, practice safe social distancing and wash your hands frequently to help stop the spread. More importantly, get the vaccine.
The health department will hold a Moderna Vaccine Clinic Thursday, September 2, beginning at 10 a.m. and a Pfizer Vaccine Clinic the same day, beginning at 2 p.m.
