According to Pocahontas County Circuit Clerk Connie Carr, the following extradition hearing was held by telephonic conference May 6 before the Honorable Judge Robert E. Richardson:

Larry A. Turner, 41, of Marlinton appeared by Skype from the Southern Regional Jail. Turner waived his right to the extradition hearing and asked to return to the Commonwealth of Virginia – Augusta County. The state advised the Augusta County prosecutor of charges against the defendant in Greenbrier and Pocahontas counties – seven felonies and two misdemeanors – with bond set in Greenbrier County at $100,000 and bond set in Pocahontas County at $200,000. Augusta County authorities will have 10 days to take custody of Turner.

The following cases were heard May 7 before the Honorable Jennifer P. Dent:

Robert R. Hall, 63, of Hillsboro, waived his right to a speedy trial, and a status conference is set for June 11.
The court will allow sliding scale fees for home confinement for Leanna Wood- house, 44, of Marlinton.

The court suspended sentence in the case the state vs Misty Jane Pritt, 32, of Elkins, to allow the defendant to enter a 28-day rehab program and a long-term program. When a bed is available at a facility, Pritt will be transported there by the WVDOC.
