The air was chilly, but hearts were warm at the annual Marlinton Christmas Parade Friday night. Floats, walkers and bands filled the streets with cheer and Christmas tunes. The winning entry in the float contest was Marlinton Presbyterian Church, above. Also participating in the parade were, from top right, Santa Claus, fresh from the North Pole; Hillsboro Elementary School teacher Laura Pritt kept her balance as she strum-med her lollipop guitar, dressed as a gingerbread man; and Marlinton Fire and Rescue honored one of its members, James Gragg, who recently passed away.
