Charles Amos Moore, 79, of Dunmore, passed away Friday, May 28, 2021, at Davis Memorial Hospital in Elkins. Born June 2, 1941, in Durbin, he was a son of the late Charles Glenn and Lela Nottingham Moore.
Chuck was a member of the Local Union Pipefitters #696. He loved fishing in the ocean, being in nature, and spending time with his grandchildren.
When Chuck began his career, the Local Union sent him to Purdue University to participate in the pipefitting national competition. Chuck placed first and was named National Champion. This was a distinct honor.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Jean Pingley.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Gayle Maxine Galford Moore; two sons, Charles David, and wife, Debbie Moore, of Dunmore, and Rusty Alan, and wife, Lisa Moore, of Piscataway, New Jersey; grandchildren, Krystal Beers, and husband, Earle, Rusty Alan Jr. Moore and fiancée, Stephanie, Brandon Moore, and fiancée, Kelsey Brooks, and Ashley Marie Moore, and fiancé Ryan Phaff; and one great-grandchild, Landon Moore.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, June 5, 2021, at 4 p.m. at Lantz Funeral Home in Buckeye.
Visitation will be Saturday, June 5, 2021, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
The body will be cremated.
